6. An Unlikely Deity

22 villages of Fateh mountain shrines,Panch Gai, Osla Netwad, and Harki Doon worship X. It is also stated that there are temples of X in every village of this area. The biggest temple of X is in Netwad-jakhol-Osla. It is believed that X protected the inhabitants of this area and when X was killed the people of this region wept so vigorously that Tamas river emerged in the area.

There is another temple dedicated to X in Kollam district of Kerala called Malanada Temple. X is worshipped in Malanada temple as ‘Malayappooppam’.

1. A Car in Making


In 1932 the international motorsport oversight body did what many Formula One fans wish the FIA would do today : declared that from 1934 there would be no restriction on Grand Prix racecar design beyond having a maximum weight of 750 kilograms. In its first race on June 3, 1934 at Nürburgring, W25, driven by Manfred von Brauchitsch, won the event and set the track record. One day prior to the race, however, the car was tested and it weighed 751 kilograms. The legend is that the solution devised by team manager Alfred Neubauer: grind off all the paint.
